The Wedding
![]()
The Kingdom Wedding takes place in three stages. It began in the world that was and it is spoken of in Romans, Chapter 1, when God set aside those that overcame Satan. He judged and justified then and He took them to wife. This doesn't make them better than anyone else, it simply means they already stood against Satan. God will intervene in their lives to accomplish His purpose.
God is more natural than we are, therefore He can use natural tings, such as marriage to help us better understand the emotions and feelings that He relates to us. Man was created for our Father's pleasure and companionship.
His feeling for His creation is like that of a man and wife, who, throught the union of marriage have become one. From the beginning of time the marriage festival was a great event. In Ephesians, Chapter 5, Paul explains that Christ is to His church as a man is to his wife.
When Christ said, "Blessed are those that are barren..." He spoke of all souls, whether they were in widowhood (already married) or virgin brides awaiting their husband. Blessed are those that are faithful to Him. When a spouse returns after years of absence and finds their love carrying a small child it is obvious he has been betrayed.
Can you not understand the emotion, regardless of gender? It is no different spiritually. If you take on the spiritual beliefs of anti-christ, from the small seed, to total impregnation of Satan's deception, you betray your Husband to be.
To those Christ shall say, "I don't even know you." In Matthew 24, Christ said "Woe to them who are with child"? He is speaking again to those who thought they were serving Him but were too caught up inthe world's traditions and spurious teachings to know who they were marrying. Let's look at the first bride in Isaiah.
ISA 54:4 "Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of they youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more."
They won't be ashamed because they were barren, or confused by the traditions and teachings in the name of Christ in this earth age.
ISA 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is His name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall He be called."
He is your Maker. The Creator of your soul that inhabits the flesh body. You are to honor and respect your earthly parents, but your Maker that created your soul is your Husband. He made you for His pleasure and companionship.
ISA 54:6 "For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused," saith thy God.
Do you understand the importance God places on you with that statement? What greater honor could be bestowed on any creation? The next event in the kingdom wedding happens at the end of this earth age. The virgins spoken of in Revelation, Chapter 14 are the only partakers at this point and Christ explains why in Matthew.
MATT 22:1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
MATT 22:2 "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,"
Jesus spoke in parables that were so simple a child could understand but those who won't try, or believe they are not meant to know, cannot understand them. The king in this parable is the Holy Father and the son is His Son, Christ Jesus.
MATT 22:3 "And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come."
Who was sent forth? His apostles, Peter, James, Paul, etc. Picture John the Baptist, the last of a long list of prophets crying of the Husband's return. A marriage and a wedding; this is what the kingdom of God is about.
John the Baptist prepared His way then, as there is a people crying now in this last generation, preparing the way for the return of their Husband. In the following verses Christ tells of those, especially the kenite, who slew the King's servants and how the wedding was open to the entire world. Finally, when the King comes and inspects the bunch he is very disappointed.
MATT 22:11 "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:"
You could call this garment the gospel armor, but I prefer the garment that is in Revelation. The garment of the righteous acts. This is the person who always said he never knew what the Word said but that he just had faith and believed.
He never came to Christ for instructions as to what he was to accomplish, who he was, etc. That person never knew Christ for the Word is Christ. Christ will say he doesn't know him.
MATT 22:12 "And he saith unto him, `Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?' And he was speechless.
MATT 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, `Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
That person didn't even know what he did wrong! He was cast into outer darkness (this doesn't say, or even imply hell) bound by the Word to be taught in the millennium. He (they) will not be able to partake of the kingdom wedding until its consummation at the end of the millennium. This final event in the wedding takes place at the great white throne of judgement and there shall never be another.
MATT 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
Few shall partake in the soon-coming wedding of our Lord. As stated in Revelation, Chapter 14 these are the one hundred fortyfour thousand and the kings and queens of the nations. Let's finish our study with Christ's words thogh John in Revelation, Chapter 22. Here, God shows the love, importance, and responsibility He places on His chosen.
REV 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come, And let him that heareth say, Come, And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
John has come back to the earth from heaven to deliver a message that extends from John's time to the consummation of the kingdom wedding. The word "bride" in Greek means "young wife" or even "betrothed."
How can he equate the Spirit (which is the Holy Spirit) with the bride? The Spirit speaks thought the bride (His wife) to call all to His wedding. How precious is His charge and it is through love and understanding she returns her commitment.
In the simple and natural sense God teachs His emotions as they mesh with our own. The kingdom of heaven, which is the King and His dominion is just like a wedding and all are invited.
Will you be invited ?
